Short Stories: Love At First S**x (Part 2)
"Ahh!!! thank God you are home. We have been worried sick about
you with the way the rain is pouring", Serwaa's mother said, the
moment she rushed inside. "How did you get home, and you are not even a little bit wet? Did you pick a taxi all the way from your work place? She questioned. So Serwaa told her mom she met a school mate who gave her a ride home. Well since it was through the school mate she got the ride home, I think technically she can say he gave her a ride right?
Serwaa is a 27 year old worker on the weekdays
and a student on the weekends. And though she would really want to live on her own, she is not. She lives with her parents and her elder sister Barbs, who is 29. Their parents still have the old believe that it is rather right for a man to go looking for a woman they want for a relationship from their parent's home.
They believe men do not take girls living on their own serious, so for them, any man who would want a serious relationship - leading to marriage, with their daughters can only prove it if they can come to their home, and ask of their girls. "Real men who are serious about a relationship with you are
the ones who come to ask of you from your parent's home. But those who
just want you for fun would rather prefer hiding behind the windows or meeting
you on your own.", their mother will always say.
So after a few chats with her parents, she winked at her sister, who was also waiting up for her (If your sister texts you that she is in a car with a stranger and adds the car number, you will be terrified) So Barbs was worried too.
Her sister immediately understood that the wink meant they should go to their room and catch up on the story with the stranger and how he brought her home safe. So she followed her up to their room, where Serwaa told her everything.
"Lucky you! Now you will get free rides home, I am jealous", her sister said with a silly sad face, and they both giggled. But Serwaa insisted she was not sure if she will take up the offer since she still doesn't know the guy. "He gave you his card for a reason. I think so that you can call him and probably get to know each other. So if you want the rides, then you should call him", her sister advised.
"Ok I will give it a thought", Serwaa replied. "But is he cute?", Barbs quickly asked.
"Errmm he's not bad. He looks like a gentleman. He was neatly dressed and all, and I think he is the reserved type", Serwaa replied. "Eii Serwaa the human reader. You met the guy like what 5 minutes and you already know he is the reserved type"? her sister asked with questionable stare. But Serwaa just laughed it off and asked her sister to let her be. "It is just an observation", she said.
So after the chit chat, she asked that they go eat "I am starving", she said. "Ahh didn't he buy you food?", her sister jokingly asked. "Oh are you serious", Serwaa replied and they both broke out with laughter.
Serwaa ended up taking her sister's advice so after dinner, she gave Max a call and they talked for close to an hour - getting to know each other and all that. So in the course of their conversation, Serwaa accepted the offer even without realizing it, and they agreed to meet up at the bus stop at 5:00 pm, the next and every other day.
Max kept giving Serwaa rides home after work and sometimes he takes her to school or pick her up depending on his schedule. So days turn into weeks and weeks turned into a month and the two had already become 'close friends', as Serwaa describes their relationship to her sister. But Max had more than 'friends felling' for her, but he didn't know how to tell her.
Anytime they are to meet, he will always practice how he was going to tell her but each time, the words only end up in his throat. So one Saturday, Max picked Serwaa up from school and on their way to her house, she reminded him about a book she needed for school which Max had and he promised to give her. So she asked him and he promised to bring it the next time they are to meet.
"Ohh but we are already on the same road that leads to you house so why don't you just stop by and pick it up for me, before you forget the next time", Serwaa suggested.
Serwaa has never been to Max's house since they met. Their meetings were always pick ups and drop offs. They only spend time in his car, at ice cream joints or eateries. And he always thought those places and moments were not the right time and place to talk about something that sensitive and emotional. So he thought, maybe this was a chance to be in a good space with her, and get to tell her about his feelings. So he agreed to go pick the book from home for her.
They then made their way to Max's house. "I have never been to this area before", Serwaa said when they finally got to Max's house. "Oh ok then welcome to my humble area and abode, he said with a bow and they both giggled. So Max opened the door, invited Serwaa in and asked her to sit and feel at home whiles he gets the book from his in-house office.
So whiles Max rushed to get the book, Serwaa stood there in the hall, looking around in admiration for a few seconds before she took a seat. Then took her phone from her bag to visit social media, but not long before Max came back.
"Here is the book mademoiselle", Max handed the book to her with a sweet smile. She took it, thanked him with delight and opened a few pages before closing it and placing it on her lap.
"Should offer you anything?". Max asked but Serwaa insisted she was fine.
"I have anything you want oo, even if it's local dry gin I can get it", he said playfully and Serwaa replied in-between laughter, "I don't do hard liquor especially in the middle of the day".
"Just kidding", Max replied laughing too.
So in the midst of their talking and laughing, Serwaa tried to reach for her bag which she placed in another chair across from where she was sitting but when she stretched to get it, the book fell. Just about when she tried picking it up, Max had also bent to pick it and they accidentally their heads crushed.
Ouch!! they both screamed and then they busted into laughter, but before I could type this, Max had grabbed her head, placed his lips on hers, and started kissing her. Serwaa who was caught by surprise tried pulling off from him, but after a second, she stopped pulling back and found herself kissing him back. Max then pulled her by the waist and pressed her body so firm to his and kissed her even much more passionately.
They were both so much in their feelings, Max started to unbutton Serwaa's blouse and she didn't even try to stop him.
I need to pray for Serwaa...she just broke my heart.. lol
